Gingerbread Spice Cake

Using Our: Gingerbread Spice Blend & Clove Powder

There is nothing quite like indulging in a slice of homemade gingerbread spice cake with a delicious vanilla glaze. The warm blend of our “Gingerbread Spice” creates a comforting aroma that fills the kitchen and beckons everyone to gather for a taste. Whether enjoyed after a meal or shared with loved ones during a cozy winter evening, this delicious treat brings warmth and joy to any gathering.

 

2/3 cup brown sugar, packed 2/3 cup molasses 2/3 cup boiling water, 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed & chilled 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon Salt 1 large egg , 1 ½ cups all purpose flour 2 Tbsp Gingerbread Spice Blend, 1/4 tsp clove powder.

To Make Glaze: Whisk together- 1 1/2 to 2 Tb water, 1 Tb heavy whipping cream, 1 1/4 cps (sifted) powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp vanilla. Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium size mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, molasses, boiling water, vanilla and butter until butter melts. Whisk in baking soda and salt, and let mixture stand until cooled. Whisk in egg. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and Gingerbread Spice Blend and Clove Powder. Create a well in the middle of the flour and pour wet mixture into the well. Fold together until smooth and well incorporated. Grease a small Bundt pan with cooking spray. Pour mixture into pan. Place in oven, and bake about 45 minutes or until a knife placed in the center of the cake comes out clean. Remove cake from oven and cool in pan for around 10 minutes and then place cake on cooling rack until completely cooled. Pour glaze over cooled cake and serve!
